PrivySeal stores your email address and password, in this regard, we are a Data Controller.
How do we collect your data?
PrivySeal stores your email and password data when you register as a User online at privyseal.io.
PrivySeal also receives your data indirectly from Certificate Issuers that use our service to provide you with their real-time digital seals and certificates to validate their award of qualifications, licenses, membership, enrollment and other data, in this regard we are a Data Processor.
How will we use your data?
PrivySeal collects your data so that we can:
- help you access your real-time digital seals and certificates;
- help you track the number of times your real-time digital seals and certificates have been viewed.
Where you specifically agree, PrivySeal will share your digital Seal or Certificate with partner companies so that you may embed your real-time digital seal in documents you generate using their software or service.
How do we store your data?
PrivySeal securely stores your data at Amazon Web Services, typically in their Paris Region or another region that is subject to GDPR (strict data privacy law).
PrivySeal will keep your email and password indefinitely, unless you request us to terminate your account by emailing info@privyseal.com.
What are your data protection rights?
PrivySeal would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user ("Certificate Holder") is entitled to the following:
The right to access – You have the right to request PrivySeal for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
The right to rectification – You have the right to request that the relevant Certificate Issuer ("Data Controller") correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request the relevant Certificate Issuer to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
The right to erasure – You have the right to request that PrivySeal erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that PrivySeal restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to PrivySeal’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
The right to data portability – You have the right to request that PrivySeal transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
